LATEST HEADLINES

WORLDFEST 2003 REMI AWARD!

Blood Shot was just awarded the WorldFest 2003 Bronze Remi Award in the "Independent Student Film & Video - College Level Student Productions" category.

WorldFest 2003 was the 36th Annual WorldFest - Houston International Film Festival, and they received over 4,500 entries from 37 countries this year. "WorldFest remains "Fiercely Independent" as the only truly Indie Film Festival in North America and one of the world's oldest and largest film & video competitions."

WorldFest gave first honors to Spielberg, Lucas, Lynch, Ang Lee, The Coen Bros., Ridley Scott, Oliver Stone, Spike Lee, and Robert Rodriguez. Dietrich Johnston thanks WorldFest for this prestigious honor.

Coincidentally, President George W. Bush appears in Blood Shot, and he also wrote a letter to WorldFest 2003. Jayson Blair of the New York Times fabricated yet another story trying to suggest that Bush had something to do with the award, but there is no proof, and Blair has since been forced to resign. I can't believe people will just make stuff up for the news. It's pathetic. Okay, I admit, I made that last part up. Sorry. Did I mention that Blood Shot is now an Award Winning Film?

WHAT ABOUT BOB?

A few strange coincidences have been seen over the last year relating to jokes in Blood Shot and the reality of terrorism. Not the least of which is the name, "Bob." The "Bob" in Blood Shot was named "Bob" before "Baghdad Bob" came on to the scene...

When a news reporter or government official attempts to state a terrorists real name, haven't you noticed it begins with "Mohammed al..." and then they mess the whole name up? Why do we automatically just call them "Bob?" Why not "Dick," or "Mo?" Those seem to be perfectly acceptable names, right?

What's next? "SARS Hamburgers" served at 7-11?

SPECIAL INTEREST

BLOOD SHOT IN IRAQ

No joke! BLOOD SHOT is playing in Iraq! "Soldiers Radio and Television" sent a copy to the U.S. troops helping to rebuild Iraq. Imagine, it could actually be playing in one of Saddam's palaces, or lingering in the soldier's mind who happens upon the cowardly Saddam disguised as a woman.

"We consider it one of the greatest honors this film could possibly have."

Of course, Baghdad Bob is denying the entire story, claiming "there are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never! We will welcome Blood Shot with bullets and shoes."

The Internet Movie Database recently added Blood Shot.

Go to imdb.com and check it out. You can read ratings and reviews from people who have seen it, or write your own. There's even a link to come right back to this web site!

We have 12 User Ratings so far. Usama gave us a 1 out of 10. Strangely, Saddam and one of his sons gave us 4's. Sources say they actually enjoyed the violence in Blood Shot, even though it was against terrorists such as themselves. "It reminds me of how much I enjoy killing my own friends and family," Saddam says. They complained it was "too scary," and that it gave them nightmares. V.D. may be called in soon if they are still alive.
